Dr. Hasmukh Adhia - Experience

After completing studies, He had joined Indian Administrative Service [IAS], which is the premier Civil Service of India in 1981. As part of this service, he had held various assignments starting from District level to State level and also up-to Federal level.
The experience of 23 years of serving the Government functions at various levels and in various fields has given him a diverse exposure to the skills required in handling these jobs.

This Company has staff strength of 200 and an asset block of Rs. 10 Billion.

Highlights of experience.

ï‚· During this period, he was closely monitoring the fiscal reform measures undertaken by the State under the Asian Development Bank conditionalities.
ï‚· Got projects worth US $ 2 billion prepared by various Departments for funding as externally aided projects.
ï‚· He was a Member-Secretary of State Public Finance Reform Committee (SPFRC) under the Chairmanship of eminent economist, Prof. Manu Shroff.
ï‚· The beginning of e-governance was made by computerization of budget making as well as computerization of treasury and pension offices.

Highlights of experience:

ï‚· During his five-year tenure in the Ministry of Industry, handled investment promotion activities for foreign direct investment in the industrial and infrastructure sectors. He had interacted with a number of delegations coming from other countries and also made presentations to delegations outside the country.
ï‚· Initiated policy measures for the growth of cement industry in the country.
ï‚· Looked after the work relating to coordination with UNIDO and participated in policy level meetings in UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, including General Board and industrial Development Board.
ï‚· Offered consultancies for promoting joint ventures between India and Austria through the office of IPS Vienna, UNIDO.
ï‚· Prepared a policy for private sector participation in Industrial Model Town in India.
