Hasmukh Adhia is a senior member of Indian Administrative Service (1981 batch) right now Posted as Principal Secretary to Government of Gujarat in Education Department
Mr. Adhia has got a basic degree in Accountancy with a Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has been awarded a ‘Gold Medal’ for Academic Excellence in the Two Years Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in the year 2004.
Mr. Adhia is working as Principal Secretary (Education) in Government of Gujarat from 10-4-2008. In this capacity, he is a member of Governing Body of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology, Gandhinagar and Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar.
Mr. Adhia was Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Gujarat from May 2003 to June 2006. He was also Director General of Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) and Managing Director, Gujarat State Financial Services Ltd (GSFSL). Prior to this, he has also worked as Director in the Ministry of Industry, New Delhi, Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Gujarat and Industries Commissioner, Gujarat as well as Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation. He has travelled widely around the World for promotion of Industrial and Infrastructure Investment in India.
